Business Development Representative

Early Career — Path to Account Executive

Dallas–Fort Worth, TexasSalesFull-time

Help introduce a new enterprise software category to manufacturing leaders—and grow into someone who can own the entire customer relationship.

The role

ConstraintFlow is looking for an ambitious early-career Business Development Representative to join our Dallas-area team.

You will work closely with company leadership to identify manufacturing organizations where ConstraintFlow can solve meaningful operational problems, research target accounts, engage prospective customers and create qualified conversations.

This is not intended to remain a high-volume appointment-setting role forever. We want to develop people who can learn manufacturing operations, understand enterprise technology, run discovery conversations and ultimately grow into Account Executive responsibilities.

What you'll do

  • Research target manufacturing companies and decision-makers.
  • Build account maps across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, IT and executive leadership.
  • Conduct thoughtful outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn and industry channels.
  • Personalize outreach around actual operational problems rather than generic AI messaging.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities.
  • Support industry events, conferences, webinars and local customer activities.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM records.
  • Work with leadership on account strategy and messaging.
  • Learn ConstraintFlow's Manufacturing use cases deeply.
  • Participate in early discovery conversations.
  • Develop toward owning qualified opportunities and eventually full sales cycles.

Who this is for

This role can be a strong fit for a recent graduate or someone with 1–2 years of early sales or business experience. We look for:

  • Strong spoken and written communication
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Confidence speaking with senior professionals
  • Persistence without being aggressive
  • Ability to research companies before contacting them
  • Genuine interest in technology and manufacturing
  • Comfortable learning technical concepts
  • Organized follow-through
  • Willingness to attend industry events and meet prospects in person
